Teen Arts Week, now in its second year and founded by 92Y Teen Producers, is NYC's only citywide celebration of the arts for teens with FREE cultural events for NYC youth in all five boroughs. Dozens of leading arts organizations offer classes, performances, music jams, poetry slams, art-making, films, career workshops, and more.
92Y honors 5 teenagers, one from each borough, with the inaugural Teen Arts Week Citizen-Artist Award for making significant contributions to their local community through the arts: Maryangel Hernandez (Brooklyn), Naima Ryan (Queens), Emerald Lloyd (The Bronx), Marcel Bryant (Staten Island), and Javy Polanco (Manhattan).
The event features performances by acclaimed dance company Urban Bush Women and Highbridge Voices Youth Choir with remarks by Ava Lehrer, Director of 92Y's Center for Arts Learning & Leadership, and Seth Pinsky, 92Y's CEO.
