Tara Dowdell: Real World Impact of Budget Sequester

Feb 26, 2013

Business and political strategist Tara Dowdell joined 92Y American Conversation's Jordan Chariton to discuss the real world impact of the budget sequester. Speaking from the perspective of a small business owner, Dowdell sees "incredibly damaging" results for small business owners among other groups.

"I don't hire people because government spending's been cut, I don't hire people because you give me a tax cut. The reason why I hire is because I got to the point where I could not do my job on my own alone anymore...demand is why people hire."

Do you agree with Tara that the sequester will harm the economy? Leave a comment.
