Michael Kimmel is Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Gender Studies at Stony Brook University, where he is the Executive Director of the Center for the Study of Men and Masculinities. He is the author of many books, including Manhood in America, Angry White Men and the bestseller, Guyland: The Perilous World Where Boys Become Men.
James Curley is Assistant Professor of Psychology at Columbia University. His research interests include the genetics of parenthood and the role of paternal influences on offspring development. His recent research explores how changes in the social environment of young animals can have lasting impacts on their social development.

He is the supervising psychologist for the Belmont Hill School and has worked in more than seven hundred schools across the United States, as well as in international schools in Central America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Dr. Thompson is the co-author of the New York Times bestselling book, Raising Cain: Protecting the Emotional Lives of Boys, and the author of Speaking of Boys: Answers to the Most-Asked Questions about Raising Sons, among several others.
