Reel Pieces™ with Annette Insdorf: John Lithgow and Ira Sachs on Love Is Strange

Jul 28, 2014

Annette Insdorf interviews Director Ira Sachs and Actor John Lithgow after a screening of their moving drama, Love Is Strange.

Love Is Strange is a contemporary tale about a same-sex couple (Lithgow and Alfred Molina) finally able to marry after decades of long-term commitment. But their wedding leads to complications, as financial and real estate challenges force them to live separately till an affordable apartment can be found. As Joshua Rothkopf wrote in TIME OUT, "It's an essential—and essentially New York—story about limited room, limited time but incalculable attachment."
