The Trial of the Chicago 7, currently on Netflix, is the latest film from acclaimed playwright, producer, screenwriter and director Aaron Sorkin. Incorporating film clips, Moderator Annette Insdorf will focus on his evocative recreation of the late 1960s trial following arrests at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. The ensemble cast includes Eddie Redmayne as Tom Hayden, Mark Rylance as William Kunstler, Sacha Baron Cohen as Abbie Hoffman, Jeremy Strong as Jerry Rubin, and Frank Langella as Judge Julius Hoffman.

They will also discuss his screenplays for such award-winning films as A Few Good Men, The American President, Charlie Wilson’s War, Steve Jobs, and The Social Network (for which he won the Academy Award), as well as his directorial debut, Molly’s Game. And they will explore his television work as creator and producer of The West Wing and The Newsroom. He also wrote the Broadway stage adaptation of Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird.
