As part of 92Y's ongoing partnership with POLITICO, we spoke with deputy White House editor Rebecca Sinderbrand at The Jefferson Hotel in Washington, D.C. about President Obama's aggressive new economic push.
Sinderbrand detailed the upcoming fights the White House will be having with Republicans, including the upcoming debt ceiling negotiations.
"One of the things to keep in mind is the White House has said that this time around, we're not dealing on the debt ceiling," Sinderbrand said, adding that Republicans will still threaten not to raise the limit until their "wish list" of demands is met.
Sinderbrand also noted the change in President Obama since re-election, suggesting he has become more bold on issues ranging from economic prosperity all the way down to race.
