Dan Savage is best known as the writer of the internationally syndicated column, Savage Love, proffering advice on sex and so much more. He now lives in Seattle with his husband, Terry Miller, and their son, D.J. In 2010, Dan and Terry launched the IT GETS BETTER PROJECT to help prevent suicide among LGBT youth, inspiring thousands of heartfelt responses from around the world. In addition to his other work, Dan is the editorial director of the weekly, The Stranger, and is a frequent contributor to "This American Life," and an implacable foe of former Senator Rick Santorum and his myrmidons.
