Mick Fleetwood in Conversation with Anthony DeCurtis

Aug 1, 2017

Mick Fleetwood, the legendary drummer, bandleader and founding member of Fleetwood Mac, joins us for a career conversation to mark the publication of his new book, Love that Burns: A Chronicle of Fleetwood Mac, Volume One: 1967-1974.

Join him for an in-depth discussion with Anthony DeCurtis, contributing editor for Rolling Stone, about the early blues era of the legendary band, and the musical legacy of the uniquely talented Peter Green. He’ll talk about his childhood, early bands, Fleetwood Mac’s debut performance, their first international tours, live gig antics, playing with Blues Legends and Chess Studios, Mick’s friendship with the many talented members that formed Fleetwood Mac in those early years.

Formed in 1967, Fleetwood Mac is one of the most successful bands of the past 50 years. Their first album, Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac, came in at #4 in the UK charts and brought the band overnight success. They went on to release the #11 hit “Albatross” and a series of critically acclaimed albums, with further hit singles including “Black Magic Woman” and “Need Your Love So Bad.”
