Maggie Haberman on Gun Control Debate: "I Expect The Fight Is Going To Be Very Ugly"

Jan 14, 2013

POLITICO senior political writer, Maggie Haberman, recently gave us background on the history of gun control in America and her analysis of where things are headed in the aftermath of the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut.

On the impending gun control debate in Congress, Haberman is not optimistic:

"I expect the fight is going to be very ugly when the recommendations come out...this is not going to be a fight that is going to be taken easy."

92nd Street Y's Campaign for the American Conversation is partnering with POLITICO to bring you "Political Speak," a series of compelling videos with POLITICO's renowned editors and correspondents analyzing the major political topics that define our time.
