Alex Katz is one of the most famous, prolific and influential painters of our time. His work has been the subject of more than 200 solo and nearly 500 group exhibitions internationally. He has had exhibitions in many of the world’s major museums, including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Carnegie Museum of Art, the Albertina Museum in Vienna, the Saatchi Collection and the Tate Gallery in London.
To mark the publication of his new book, Looking at Art with Alex Katz, Alex is joined by eminent art historian, writer and New Yorker contributor Calvin Tomkins and author, Vogue contributing editor and New Yorker contributor, Dodie Kazanjian in a lively and candid conversation about art and artists through the lens of history, fashion and aesthetics.
