Lessons from the Front Lines of the Pandemic
David Reich, MD, President, The Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai Queens, Florian Krammer, PhD, Professor, Microbiology and Vaccinology, Jessica Montanaro, MSN, RN, Assistant Nursing Care Coordinator and Deborah Schupack
As our city and nation commemorate two years of crisis and losses from the coronavirus pandemic, join us for a behind-the-scenes look at how New York City’s Mount Sinai Health System and its Icahn School of Medicine mobilized to save lives and decipher the virus.
A panel of front-line clinicians and researchers will provide an inside look at what happened and why — from intensive care units to research labs — involving an all-hands-on-deck effort to respond to the unprecedented medical emergency.
The panel will also discuss the lessons learned — and what needs to be done — to prepare for future pandemics and health crises.
