The Supreme Court of the United States is the branch of government with the most mystery, and curiosity. The proceedings are not televised, and yet many are fascinated by the goings on at the High Court, despite having little understanding of the cases decided there, and what they mean for most people.

Ron Klain is Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Revolution LLC, an investment firm launched by AOL Co-Founder Steve Case in 2005. In addition to his private sector career, Mr. Klain has devoted many years to public service, most recently as White House Ebola Response Coordinator (2014-15).

Kenji Yoshino is the Chief Justice Earl Warren Professor of Constitutional Law at NYU School of Law. His fields are constitutional law, anti-discrimination law, and law and literature. Yoshino is the author of three books: Speak Now: Marriage Equality on Trial (2015); A Thousand Times More Fair: What Shakespeare’s Plays Teach Us About Justice (2011); and Covering: The Hidden Assault on Our Civil Rights (2006).

Roberta Kaplan is a pioneering lawyer who won the landmark case United States v. Windsor. She is the author of Then Comes Marriage: United States v. Windsor and the Defeat of DOMA.

Thane Rosenbaum is a novelist, essayist and distinguished fellow at NYU School of Law, where he directs the Forum on Law, Culture & Society. He is the author of numerous books of fiction and nonfiction, and serves as the legal analyst for CBS News Radio.
