Joseph Aldy: On the U.S. Energy Debate

Both presidential candidates have spoken about the need for energy independence, and Harvard Kennedy School's Joseph Aldy spoke with us about the key points missing in the U.S. energy debate. First, Aldy points to the increase in energy production across a wide array of technologies including wind, solar and oil production. Second, he explains our interdependent world, referencing how trade and competition with other countries impact U.S. energy policy. Finally Aldy looks at the future of climate change, saying weather changes can influence things like food prices.
