Jeremy Irons talks with Annette Insdorf about playing controversial Olympics administrator Avery Brundage in the new film, Race. Race is a biographical drama about the African-American athlete Jesse Owens, who won a record-breaking 4 gold medals at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

Amid a cast including Stephan James, Jason Sudeikis, William Hurt and Carice van Houten as Leni Riefenstahl, Jeremy Irons plays Avery Brundage, who brought the U.S. team to Germany at a time when the Nazis assumed Aryan racial superiority.
