Jehan Sadat and Barbara Walters: My Hope for Peace

Mar 25, 2009

On the 30th anniversary of the Egypt-Israeli Peace Treaty, the widow of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat talks about her new memoir, My Hope for Peace, with Barbara Walters. As a professor, a peace activist and a former first lady, Jehan Sadat has had a front-row seat to the agonizing cycle of progress and setback in the Middle East. In this clip, she talks about the assassination of her husband Anwar Sadat and much of America’s misconceptions of mainstream Muslims.
