Dr. Jane Goodall in Conversation with David Rubenstein

Oct 1, 2023

Join groundbreaking ethologist and conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall for a conversation with David Rubenstein about her pathbreaking work studying chimpanzees, and living legacy of turning hope into action to protect people, other animals, and the planet we share. In 1960, at the age of 26, Dr. Goodall travelled to Tanzania to study the behavior of chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Her findings rocked the scientific world and changed our understanding of our relationship to the rest of the animal kingdom. From scientist to activist, Dr. Goodall realized that these incredible beings were being threatened and it was time to inspire a global movement of good. As an international advocate, DBE, Founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace, Dr. Goodall has shaped efforts to halt the Climate Crisis and Biodiversity loss, supports the continuation of her innovative research as the longest-running wild chimpanzee study in the world through JGI, is a leader in community-led conservation, and created JGI’s Roots & Shoots youth program in over 65 countries and growing. Hear Dr. Goodall discuss a lifelong commitment to conservation and activism, the role we each play in living in harmony with our environments and one another, and much more.
