Israel & the Middle East

Jan 8, 1970

In a lecture hosted by 92NY, distinguished novelist, activist, and overall expert on Jewish affairs Eleazar Lipsky enumerates some of the most pressing issues faced by the state of Israel and the Jewish people at large. Lipsky covers subjects such as the origin and subsequent perils of anti-Israel propaganda, why the intellectual brilliance of the people in Israel is concentrated in the survival of the state, and the character of the people who are “conducting the war things that are connected with the war,” among others. The lecture concludes with audience questions.

The Preservation of and Increased Access to the 92nd Street Y Humanities Audio Archives is generously funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities: Democracy demands wisdom.
