Israel Consul General Ido Aharoni in Conversation: Reflections and the Way Forward

Jun 16, 2016

Much has happened between Israel and the United States during the 6 years since Ido Aharoni assumed the post as the Consul General of Israel in New York, including two Gaza wars, two Israeli elections and a sometimes stormy relationship between Netanyahu and the Obama Administration.

Ambassador Aharoni has weathered the difficult times to bridge the gap between Israel and the people of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Aharoni holds a crucial position, as New York actually has the largest Jewish population outside of Israel, and therefore often has to play the role of security advisor and communications director to the Jewish community in New York when an event strikes in Israel. Join 92Y Talks for an unfiltered discussion with Ambassador Aharoni moderated by New York Times Editorial Board Member Carol Giacomo.
