Beanie Feldstein is an American actress who first rose to prominence starring opposite Saoirse Ronan in Greta Gerwig’s Golden Globe winning, Oscar nominated debut, Lady Bird. Feldstein received critical acclaim for her performance, as did the film and its stellar cast including Laurie Metcalf, Tracy Letts, Timothee Chalamet, and Lucas Hedges. The cast, including Beanie, was nominated for the 2017 Best Ensemble at the SAG Awards.

In the same year, Beanie received recognition for her Broadway debut portraying “Minnie Fay” in the smash hit musical Hello, Dolly! alongside Bette Midler. Beanie received the Breakthrough Award at the Lilly Awards, honoring the three standout female Broadway debuts of the season. The Musical won a 2017 Tony Award for “Best Revival of a Musical.”

Most recently, Beanie starred opposite Kaitlyn Dever in Olivia Wilde’s critically acclaimed directorial debut, Booksmart, in which she received a Golden Globe nomination for “Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture—Musical or Comedy.” Additionally, Booksmart won the 2020 Independent Spirit Award for “Best First Feature” and Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society Awards for “Best Picture,” “Best Original Screenplay,” and “Best Indie Film.”

Up next, Beanie stars in Caitlin Moran’s comedic coming of age story, How to Build a Girl, winning the FIPRESCI Special Presentation prize, directed by Coky Giedroyc, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival this Fall. She stars as British teenager, Johanna Morrigan, who is whip-smart, veracious and desperate to escape her hometown and make a name for herself—which she does, reinventing herself as Dolly Wilde, bad-ass music critic. Starring alongside her will be Alfie Allen, Paddy Constantine, and Sarah Solemani with cameos from Chris O’Dowd and Emma Thompson. Additionally in the fall of 2019, Beanie went into production to star opposite Amy Schumer and Jayne Houdyshell in The Humans—Stephen Karam’s Tony Award-winning play that is being adapted into film and is produced by A24 and Scott Rudin.

Up next, Beanie will star in FX’s Emmy-winning, Ryan Murphy produced anthology, Impeachment portraying “Monica Lewinsky.” Production is set to begin filming in February of this year, and the series is scheduled to premiere in the Fall. Beanie previously starred in Whitney Cummings’ The Female Brain opposite Cummings and in Nicholas Stoller’s Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising alongside Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Rose Byrne, and Chloe Moretz which grossed over $100 million worldwide.
