Phoebe Robinson is Phoebe Hill, a 30-something outspoken podcast star making her professional mark while living a broke and delightfully messy life in Brooklyn, in Freeform’s highly anticipated comedy Everything’s Trash.

Phoebe Robinson is a stand-up comedian, writer, producer and actress. She is the co-creator and co-star of the hit podcast turned HBO series 2 Dope Queens and other critically acclaimed podcasts, including Sooo Many White Guys and Black Frasier. She’s also The New York Times bestselling author of You Can’t Touch My Hair: And Other Things I Still Have to Explain and Everything’s Trash, But It’s Okay, on which the Freeform series is based. Additionally, Robinson starred in the films Ibiza and What Men Want and was a moderator for Michelle Obama’s Becoming book tour, where she interviewed the former first lady.

In 2019, Robinson launched Tiny Reparations, a production company under ABC Signature, whose first series, Doing the Most with Phoebe Robinson, premiered in April 2021 on Comedy Central. Her debut one-hour comedy special, Sorry, Harriet Tubman, premiered in October 2021 on HBO Max. Also in 2021, she published her third book of essays, Please Don’t Sit on My Bed in Your Outside Clothes, which quickly became a national bestseller and the inaugural title from her imprint, Tiny Reparations Books, which champions writers of color.

Jordan Carlos is Jayden Hill, Phoebe’s blerdy older brother, who is very close with his sister and running for public office, in Freeform’s highly anticipated comedy Everything’s Trash.

Carlos hosts AMC’s documentary series Can We Talk About This?, where he and his guests discuss and recontextualize problematic elements of classic movies. He also co-hosts, with Michelle Buteau, the popular comedic-advice podcast Adulting. He served as the head writer of CBS’ The Drew Barrymore Show and was a fixture on Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, serving throughout the series as writer, correspondent and on-air panelist. He served as a story editor on HBO’s Divorce, starring Sarah Jessica Parker, and staffed on Tracey Oliver’s First Wives Club for BET. Additional acting credits include Black Mirror, The Affair, Friends From College, Broad City, Girls3, Nurse Jackie, First Wives Club, Noah Baumbach’s The Meyerowitz Stories and Disney+’s Home Sweet Home Alone.

Nneka Okafor is Jessie Ajayi-Hill, Jayden’s tightly wound but fun wife with feminist leanings, in Freeform’s highly anticipated comedy Everything’s Trash.

Okafor is a television, stage and voice-over actress. Her select television credits include Harlem, Endgame and NCIS: New Orleans. She has also appeared in off-Broadway productions with multiple theater venues such as The Public, Roundabout Theatre and Signature Theatre. Her voice work has been featured in various animation series and commercial campaigns. Okafor is originally from Houston, Texas, and graduated from The UCLA School of Theater Film and Television.

Toccarra Cash is Malika Jones, Phoebe’s work wife and her ride-or-die-for-always, in Freeform’s highly anticipated comedy Everything’s Trash.

Although Everything’s Trash is her breakout television role, establishing her as an actor to watch in Hollywood, Cash is an accomplished, versatile and fiercely talented actor with roots on both the stage and screen.

Hailing from Dayton, Ohio, Cash has recently guest starred on ABC/Shondaland’s Station 19. She was also featured in the critically acclaimed, Olivia Newman-directed Netflix drama First Match, which was a darling of the SXSW Film Festival and starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Colman Domingo, and the dark fantasy-comedy film Here After, starring Christina Ricci and Andy Karl.

Cash’s other television credits include CBS’s Blue Bloods, USA’s Royal Pains and TV Land’s Younger. On the big screen, her credits include Warner Brothers’ ATL and the indie films Hands to the Sky, Rosy and Gracie’s Keeper.

While she currently calls Los Angeles home, Cash honed her craft on New York stages, where she starred as Annie in the hit Broadway comedy The Play That Goes Wrong. She most recently starred in The Public Theatre’s Shakespearean production of Measure for Measure and the off-Broadway play Napoli, Brooklyn. She is also no stranger to the London stages, having starred in the off-West End production Half Me, Half You. Cash has performed at numerous regional theatres across the country and received multiple awards for her theatrical work, such as the AUDELCO Award for Best Supporting Actress in Brothers from the Bottom, the IRNE Award for Best Supporting Actress in Dominique Morrisseau’s hit play Skeleton Crew, and the prestigious Princess Grace Theatre Award.

Cash studied acting at the illustrious HBCU Spelman College and received her Master of Fine Arts in acting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). She is a passionate activist on issues such as racial justice, domestic violence awareness and body image. She puts the latter activism to work as the creator and host of The Image Monster Workshop (as featured on NBC News’ Positively Black), where she engages college-aged young women of color at various colleges, universities and non-profit programs across the country on promoting body positivity and embracing a healthier self-image.

Cash continues to reside in Los Angeles with her partner, Nathan James, and their turtle (yes, a turtle), Stanley.

Moses Storm is Michael Baker, Phoebe’s BFF and roommate, who lives life on his own wavelength, in Freeform’s highly anticipated comedy Everything’s Trash.

Storm is a comedian and actor recently seen on the NBC/Hulu comedy Sunnyside. His other credits include I’m Dying Up Here on Showtime, Arrested Development for Netflix, This Is Us on NBC, Hulu’s teen comedy Plan B, the Netflix romantic comedy The Lovebirds, the Hulu horror film Bad Hair, the 2015 high-concept Universal horror film Unfriended, and the Adam Sandler/Netflix film Father of the Year. He will be seen next in the upcoming CBSTV/Paramount+ series Players.

As a stand-up comedian, his debut one-hour comedy special, Trash White, was released on Jan. 20, 2022, on HBOMax to rave reviews. Storm has appeared numerous times on Conan as a guest and a performer and also hosts Conan’s live variety show Team Coco’s Up & Up monthly in Los Angeles. In 2018, he joined Conan on his multiple city tour, Team Coco Presents Conan & Friends: An Evening of Stand-up and Investment Tips. Storm regularly tours comedy clubs around the country, where he works with an inspiring amount of ambition to create unconventional interactive entertainment.

Jonathan Groff serves as the showrunner and executive producer for Everything’s Trash, which he developed with comedian/writer Phoebe Robinson for Freeform. He is also currently an executive producer alongside Fred Armisen on the Hulu comedy This Fool.

At ABC, Groff was an executive/consulting producer for all eight seasons of black-ish and executive producer/showrunner on Happy Endings for three seasons. From 2007 to 2009, he was with 20th Century Fox, serving as a consulting producer on the CBS hit How I Met Your Mother. At NBC, he executive produced and ran Andy Barker, P.I., which he co-created with Conan O’Brien; he developed and showran Father of the Pride, created The Jake Effect, and was a consultant on Ed. He also spent five years as head writer on Late Night with Conan O’Brien.

Groff is a graduate of Brown University and resides with his family in Los Angeles.
