The Elie Wiesel Living Archive

at The 92nd Street Y, New York Supported by The Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity

Professor Wiesel was scrupulous in keeping track of the years of his 92NY lectures and in celebrating almost every fifth year with special remarks, appreciation, and emphasis (beginning at year fifteen in the Living Archive); 92NY, in turn, usually added its own form of honoring Professor Wiesel’s accomplishment (and, in similar vein, Professor Wiesel’s 80th birthday). Also in this category are lectures prompted by a commemorative dimension (e.g., “American Jewry at 350”).
