David Carr On Writing His Memoir
David Carr speaks with Leonard Lopate about the art of writing a memoir, part of a panel discussion with Kathryn Harrison and David Henry Stern.
"Why did you decide to report your memoir?" Lopate asked Carr. "Do you think your story would have been different if you had done it from memory? Or could you have done it from memory?"
"I'm really only good at one thing, which is reporting." Carr responded. "I really only have one big skill, which is investigation and reporting."
