As one of the world’s best-loved and most versatile entertainers, Bette Midler has garnered accolades across all facets of show business. Midler’s expansive body of work has been recognized with four Grammy Awards, two Academy Award nominations, three Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and nine American Comedy Awards. She began her legendary career as an entertainer in 1965 in New York, where she developed the trademark act that would make her one of the most renowned talents of her generation.  

In 1995 Midler founded the New York Restoration Project, an open space conservancy and New York City’s largest private land trust. NYRP is dedicated to protecting and preserving community gardens and other green spaces throughout all five boroughs. NYRP owns and manages 52 community gardens, maintains over 80 acres of parkland, and in collaboration with the New York City Parks Department, has planted over 1,000,000 trees in New York City. 

Golden Globe® nominee Kaitlyn Dever has amassed tremendous respect at a young age with her dynamic and impactful performances in film and television.

Dever presently stars in Netflix’s 8-episode, limited series Unbelievable, the true story of Marie, a teenager who was charged with lying about having been raped, and the two female detectives (Toni Collette and Merritt Wever) who followed a twisting path to arrive at the truth. The series debuted on September 13, 2019. Dever’s standout performance earned her nominations in the ‘Lead Actress of a Limited Series’ category for both the Golden Globe® Awards and Critics’ Choice Awards and the series most recently won a 2020 Peabody Award in the ‘Entertainment’ category.

In May 2019, Dever starred in Olivia Wilde’s directorial debut, Booksmart, opposite Beanie Feldstein, Billie Lourd, and Noah Galvin. Dever and Feldstein co-lead as two overachieving high schoolers who set out to cram four years of fun into one night before they graduate. Annapurna Pictures produced the film, which was released to critical acclaim in May 2019 following a successful world premiere at SXSW Festival. Dever was recognized by the Hollywood Critics Association as the 2020 Breakthrough Artist Under the Age of 23, and was named an EE BAFTA Rising Star nominee for her performance.

Upcoming, Dever will star in the half-hour, live-action comedy series, The Wildest Animals in Griffith Park, created by Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz (The Peanut Butter Falcon) and executive produced by Margot Robbie. Based upon Nilson and Schwartz’s own life experience as they secretly lived in a park in the hills of Los Angeles while developing The Peanut Butter Falcon, the story follows two young women (Dever and Joey King) as they move into a house in the park to experience nature and discover their purpose in life.

Dever completed production on Hulu’s upcoming anthology series, Monsterland, opposite Jonathan Tucker. Based on the short stories by Nathan Ballingrud, the series will follow a group of people who, after experiencing encounters with mermaids, fallen angels, and other strange beasts, are desperate to repair their lives, ultimately showing that there is a thin line between man and monster.

Additionally, Dever wrapped production on the pilot of B.J. Novak’s upcoming anthology series for FX Networks. The series will use the boldest issues of our times as a jumping off point to tell singular, character-driven stories about the world we live in today, and the pilot will also feature Lucas Hedges, Jon Bernthal, and Boyd Holbrook.

In 2019, Dever starred in Them That Follow, an independent drama feature that premiered at Sundance Film Festival. The film is set inside a snake-handling church deep in Appalachia, when a forbidden relationship forces a pastor’s daughter to confront her community’s deadly tradition. Olivia Colman and Walton Goggins co-star and The Orchard released the film on August 2, 2019.

In November 2018, Dever appeared in Sony Pictures’ The Front Runner for director Jason Reitman, opposite Hugh Jackman, Vera Farmiga, and J.K. Simmons, which follows American Senator Gary Hart’s 1988 presidential campaign that is derailed when he’s caught in a scandalous love affair.

In October 2018, Dever played ‘Lauren’, in Beautiful Boy, opposite Steve Carell and Timothée Chalamet. Directed by Felix Van Groeningen and released by Amazon Studios, the film is an adaptation of the memoirs by father and son David and Nic Sheff, and chronicles the heartbreaking and inspiring experience of survival, relapse, and recovery in a family coping with addiction over many years.

Dever can previously be seen in director and writer Lynn Shelton’s Outside In, opposite Jay Duplass, Edie Falco, and Ben Schwartz. The film tells the story of an ex-prisoner, struggling to readjust to his small town life, who forms an intense bond with his former high school teacher. The feature had its world premiere at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival and was released by The Orchard, and globally on Netflix. Dever and Shelton’s relationship was a continuation from their work in the comedy-drama Laggies, in which Dever appeared alongside Keira Knightley, Chloe Moretz, and Sam Rockwell. The film tells the story of ‘Megan’ (Knightley), a floundering 28-year-old woman who hides out for a week with high school student ‘Annika’ (Moretz) and her best friend ‘Misty’ (Dever), under the pretense of going to a work retreat after her boyfriend attempts to propose. The film premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival and was released by A24 Films.

In July 2017, Dever took on the role of ‘Karen’ in Detroit, for Academy Award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow, with an ensemble cast including John Boyega, Hannah Murray, Will Poulter, and Jacob Latimore. Written and produced by Mark Boal, the script is set against the backdrop of the Detroit riots that took place over five summer days in 1976, and was released by Annapurna Pictures.

In October 2014, Dever co-starred in Paramount’s Men, Women & Children alongside Jennifer Garner, Ansel Elgort, Judy Greer, Adam Sandler, and Emma Thompson. The Jason Reitman comedy-drama is based on a novel of the same name by Chad Kultgen, and follows a group of high school teenagers and their parents as they discover the many ways the internet has changed their relationships, communication, self-images and love lives. Dever plays Garner’s daughter, and love interest to Ansel Elgort. The film premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival.

In September 2013, Dever played a supporting role in the coming-of-age feature The Spectacular Now, starring Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller. Based on Tim Tharp’s novel and directed by James Ponsoldt, the romantic comedy-drama centers on a live-for-the-moment high school senior (Teller) as he develops a relationship with introverted classmate Aimee (Woodley). Premiering at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, the film garnered much critical acclaim.

In August 2013, Dever delivered a powerful and pivotal performance in the critically acclaimed Short Term 12, opposite Brie Larson. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and based off his short film of the same name, the coming-of-age drama tells the story through the eyes of Grace (Larson), a young supervisor for an at-risk center for teenagers. The film is a glimpse into the lives of neglected youths where Dever plays a troubled teen living in the group home. The film first premiered at the 2013 SXSW Festival where it won the Grand Jury Prize for “Best Narrative” as well as the Audience Award. Dever was also highlighted as a SXSW breakout for her performance.

Dever’s additional film credits include We Don’t Belong Here opposite Catherine Keener and Anton Yelchin; Grass Stains opposite Tye Sheridan; J. Edgar, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and directed by Academy Award-winning director Clint Eastwood; and the Cameron Diaz comedy Bad Teacher, directed by Jake Kasdan.

On the small screen, Dever co-stars in Last Man Standing as the youngest, toughest, and most athletic daughter of the Baxter family. Created by Jack Burditt and directed by John Pasquin, the series also stars Tim Allen, Nancy Travis, and Molly Ephraim. After six seasons on ABC, the show moved to FOX and is now heading into its ninth season.

Daniel Levy is an Emmy® nominated showrunner, and writer, actor, director, and producer, best known for his work on one of the most beloved shows on television, Schitt’s Creek, which he co-created with his father Eugene Levy. For its fifth season, the show earned four Emmy® nominations including Best Comedy Series, a PGA Award nomination, a GLAAD Media nomination for Best Comedy Series, two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations including Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series, and five Critics’ Choice Award nominations including Best Comedy Series and one for Levy for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Recently, the show concluded its final season with a critically acclaimed two-part finale.

In 2013, he formed Not A Real Company Productions with his father and principals Andrew Barnsley and Fred Levy to create Schitt’s Creek, a half-hour single camera comedy for CBC/ITV/Pop. In addition to being the co-creator, showrunner and executive producer of Schitt’s Creek, Levy also stars alongside Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Annie Murphy, and Chris Elliott. Levy began his television career co-hosting MTV Canada’s flagship show MTV Live and later co-wrote, co-hosted, and co-produced the critically-acclaimed ratings hit The After Show and its various incarnations, including The Hills: The After Show and The City: Live After Show. Levy also wrote, produced, and starred in his own Christmas special for MTV, Daniel Levy’s Holi-Do’s & Don’ts and co-hosted the MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet, the X-Factor pre-show, and national coverage of the Vancouver Olympic Games for CTV. Levy also co-hosted The Great Canadian Baking Show, and has also made a guest appearance on Modern Family. He made his film debut opposite Tina Fey in Admission. Award-winning actress Sarah Paulson has built an impressive list of credits in film, television, and on stage.

Paulson's Emmy win for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie was earned for her portrayal of attorney Marcia Clark in the critically acclaimed mini-series The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story on FX. Paulson also received a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild award, a Critics Choice Award, as well as a Television Critics Association award for this role.

Currently, Pauslon can be seen in FX on Hulu’s limited series Mrs. America, opposite Cate Blanchett, which tells the true story of the movement to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment, and the unexpected backlash led by Phyllis Schlafly.

In film, Paulson will be seen starring in Aneesh Chaganty’s Run, for Lionsgate, and in the Netflix series, Ratched, where she will play the title role and serves as Executive Producer. The series, which premieres later this year, centers on the early life of Mildred Ratched from the 1962 Ken Kesey novel, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

Next up, she will begin production on FX’s Impeachment: American Crime Story, in which she will star as Linda Tripp, and serve as Executive Producer.

On the small screen, Paulson was last seen in the eighth installment of Ryan’s Murphy’s award-winning television series American Horror Story for FX. In addition to starring as multiple characters that season, she also made her directorial debut with the 78-minute crossover episode Return to Murder House. Paulson has received five Emmy nominations for her roles in the franchise: Ally Mayfair-Richards in AHS: Cult; Sally in AHS: Hotel; Bette and Dot Tattler, conjoined twins, in AHS: Freak Show; Cordelia Foxx in AHS: Coven; and Lana Winters in AHS: Asylum. She has also earned two Critics Choice Awards for her roles in the anthology.

A few months before that she appeared in Netflix’s hit Bird Box, opposite Sandra Bullock, which has been watched by more than 50 million Netflix accounts. Also in 2018, she starred in Warner Bros.’ Ocean’s 8, opposite Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett. Paulson received her first Emmy nomination and second Golden Globe nomination for her role as Nicolle Wallace in HBO's critically acclaimed telefilm Game Change. Directed by Jay Roach, the film follows John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign. Her first Golden Globe nomination was for her performance in Aaron Sorkin's Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, in which she starred opposite Matthew Perry, Amanda Peet, Bradley Whitford and Steven Weber.

He’s rumored to be quite close to film critic Libby Gelman-Waxner, whose reviews have appeared in Premiere, Entertainment Weekly and The New Yorker, and a collection was published under the title If You Ask Me. He’s won an Obie, two Outer Critics Circle Awards and the John Gassner Playwrighting Award. His screenplays include Sister Act, In&Out, the screen adaptation of Jeffrey and Addams Family Values.

Jay Roach produced and directed 2019’s Bombshell, starring Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, Margot Robbie, and John Lithgow. The film, financed and released by Bron Studios and Lionsgate, was nominated for two Golden Globes and two Academy Awards—for best actress and best supporting actress—for Charlize Theron and Margot Robbie. Bombshell won an Oscar for best make-up and hair.

Roach won a Golden Globe for producing HBO’s Game Change, which he also directed. Game Change won three Golden Globes and five Emmy’s—including an Emmy for directing—and a Peabody Award.

He produced and directed HBO’s Recount which won three Emmys; it was nominated for eleven. And he produced and directed All the Way, also for HBO, which was nominated for eight Emmys.

In 2015 he directed the feature film Trumbo, starring Bryan Cranston, Helen Mirren, and Diane Lane. Cranston was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe for his performance as Dalton Trumbo.

Roach’s career began in feature comedies. His first completed film was Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, which spawned two sequels The Spy Who Shagged Me and Goldmember. He also produced and directed Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, Mystery Alaska, and The Campaign.

Roach produced Borat, Sisters, and The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Before directing, Roach was a screenwriter in science fiction. He co-wrote the pilot for the short-lived CBS series Space Rangers in 1993.

Roach is married to Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles. They have two adult children. He was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from Stanford University in 1980 and earned an MFA in film production from USC in 1986. Prior to directing, he taught cinematography and directing at USC for six years.
