Christopher Buckley with Tina Brown: Losing Mum and Pup

May 7, 2009

Christopher Buckley talks about his book, Losing Mum and Pup, which created quite a stir when advance copies were reviewed, with Tina Brown. In this clip, Tina asks him about the impetus for writing it and experiences with his father.

Brown: He was pretty difficult frankly to have as a father, was he not? ...There were times when you pretty much felt you had to kind of fight for your life in that setup, as you described.

Buckley: Well...I’m the Park Avenue Frank McCourt.

Of course there was also some small talk about politics. When she asked, “Are there any Republican candidates you feel optimistic about for in 2012?” he replied simply, “no.”
