The Chi: Lena Waithe in Conversation with Charlamagne Tha God

Jan 9, 2018

Lena Waithe was perhaps best known as Denise, friend to Aziz Ansari’s Dev, on the critically acclaimed Netflix comedy Master of None, but now she’s a master in her own right after her history making Emmy win for writing the show’s poignant "Thanksgiving" episode.

Waithe is the Creator and Executive Producer of her own series, The Chi, a timely coming-of-age story set in Chicago’s South Side, on Showtime. On the big screen, you can see her in Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of the dystopian story Ready Player One. Hear from Waithe about how she is making strides as both a writer and an actress.
