Dr. Elise Desperito provides information on current issues related to breast cancer screening and state of the art modalities available today. She reveals how to work with your physician to achieve shared decision making, understanding your personal health risk factors and best and most current strategies in breast cancer treatment. She also shares the most current breast cancer research how this relates to individuals with a history of familial breast cancer.

Dr. Elise Desperito

Dr. Elise Desperito is board certified in diagnostic radiology and subspecializes in breast imaging. She is an assistant professor of radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and an assistant attending radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Desperito has extensive experience in the care of women with breast cancer and specializes in breast imaging interpretation and interventional breast procedures. She serves as the chief of the Division of Breast Imaging and vice chair of education for the department. Dr. Desperito is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the New York Roentgen Ray Society, and the Society of Breast Imaging.
