Barbara Bush was First Lady of the United States from 1988 to 1992. Her five children include President George W. Bush and Florida governor Jeb Bush, and was the founder of the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. She is the first woman since Abigail Adams to have been wife and mother of a president.
