Welcome to the nightmare! Rock legend Alice Cooper sat down with Rolling Stone contributor Anthony DeCurtis to talk about the documentary film Super Duper Alice Cooper, his career and life. (Video of the full Q&A here.)

Here are five things we learned about Alice Cooper:

Growing up, he wanted to be Zorro very much. In fact, the sword he uses on stage belonged to Errol Flynn and is the one Flynn used in Captain Blood.

He was friends with Groucho Marx, who used to attend Cooper's shows with George Burns, Fred Astaire and Mae West! "They're on the side of the stage and we're doing Welcome To My Nightmare," he said, "and they're nonplussed about it."

Golf is his favorite hobby and he plays every day. "I never get tired of it," he told DeCurtis.

He didn't realize he was an alcoholic until it became more like medicine then alcohol. "You never see that part coming," he said. "When you're kid, you go, 'I wanna be a rock star, I wanna marry a beautiful girl, I'm gonna have mansion, I'm gonna have some Rolls Royces.' You never plan on [being an alcoholic]. But it hits you, and you deal with it. You have to find some way to deal with it."

Alice Cooper only sleeps three hours a night and he doesn't eat sugar.
