Korean American: Eric Kim in Conversation with Sohla El-Waylly

May 14, 2022

New York Times columnist Eric Kim grew up in Atlanta, the son of Korean immigrants. In his debut cookbook, Korean American, Eric explores not only what it means to straddle two nations, but how, through food and cooking, he found acceptance, strength, and the confidence to own his story. Join Eric in conversation with culinary creator, writer and community advocate, Sohla El-Waylly as they discuss the pivotal role of food and writing on identity and their lives, the kind of home cooking that excites them, and the many influences that led to their careers in media today.
