About us

We offer need-based financial assistance for all 92NY programs for children and adults and encourage you to apply. We are committed to making our programming accessible to a diverse 92NY community, and we hope that you will be able to join us.

Who Can Apply for Financial Assistance?

While anyone can apply at any time for financial assistance, we allocate assistance based on need, as illustrated through the application process.

Please note that in order to serve the greatest number of individuals and families, most financial assistance is partial. We welcome prior financial assistance recipients to re-apply, although we cannot guarantee the same level of funding from year to year.

What Can Financial Assistance Cover at 92NY?

Financial assistance can be utilized for any membership and fee-based program at 92NY. For fee-based programming, please review our online class listing carefully before applying for financial assistance and be prepared to tell us exactly which class, start date and time you are seeking.

Please note that some 92NY programs, including camps, afterschool, gymnastics and swim teams, require a deposit to hold a spot in the program prior to applying for financial assistance. Please reach out to the scholarship services office or corresponding department office if you have questions about making a deposit.

For one-time ticketed events including talks, concerts and performances, we encourage you to check out our sliding-scale rates and online event options as well as our XYZ Membership Program which offers tickets at a reduced rate.

For information on financial assistance for High Holiday Services, please contact scholarship services or the Bronfman Center for Jewish Life.

What is the Application Process?

Please complete your financial assistance application through our online application portal below. We ask that you complete your application at least two weeks prior to the start of the class that you want to attend. If you have difficulty completing the application online and require assistance, call 212.415.5699 or email.

Once you submit your financial assistance application, you will receive an email instructing you to submit supporting financial documentation via WeTransfer. Please redact social security and account numbers from your financial documents before submitting them.

Supporting financial documentation includes a rent receipt or maintenance and mortgage statement, as well as copies of the following documentation of income:

  • 2022/2023 Federal Tax Return 1040/1040EZ (first 2 pages with all schedules)

  • School tuition or scholarship statements or student loan statements if applicable

Applications cannot be reviewed until all required documentation is received. We review all the information that has been provided by the applicant/family to determine eligibility and scholarship award amount.

Once we review your financial assistance application, will we send you a financial assistance determination and/or award letter via email. The award letter will include your scholarship award amount and any remaining balance. You must then call our customer care team to complete registration and pay any remaining fees.
