Buy individual artist-grade tubes by Graham, Holbein or Winsor & Newton
- Required Colors
- Permanent / titanium white
- Cadmium red light
- Cadmium yellow light
- Yellow ochre
- Cobalt turquoise or pthalo blue
- Permanent or Quinacridone Rose
- Quinacridone rose or alizarin permanent
- Ultramarine blue
- Burnt Umber
- Pthalo Greeno
- Optional: a transparent color as deep yellow, marigold/gamboge, or burnt sienna
- Hot pressed (smooth paper as arches pink cover 140lb) watercolor paper pad or block. 9x12 is a good size. Larger sizes can be taped-cut
- ½” drafting or white Artist’s tape
- Short handle synthetic brushes. I like Robert Simmons white sable or Raphael precision Flat/Brights: ¾” wide, #12, #8, #4, #2 Optional: Rounds #6, #2 for detail, #12
- 2 short, wide cups for water
- 2H pencil
- Eraser
- Small travel plastic spray bottle mister (to keep colors wet)
- Paper towels, cotton rag
- Palette: plastic, tin or porcelain - I recommend Mijello fusion airtight folding palette for flat mixing space plus small porcelain (flower) wells
