Megan Doyle, Director of Musical Theater at The 92nd Street Y, New York, is an accomplished dance and theatre professional with extensive experience as a teacher, administrator, and performer. She holds an M.A. in Dance Education from New York University, a B.A. in English and Secondary Education from St. Joseph’s College and is a graduate of the Dance Education Laboratory. Currently, Megan is pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Theatre at NYU.
Megan directs and choreographs unique professional dance theatre experiences for children and adults including the 92NY productions Dorothy’s Adventures in Oz, A is for Audra, The Velveteen Rabbit, Red Riding Hood, and Adventure to Neverland. In 2018, she developed the 92NY Musical Theater Development Lab, producing original workshop productions including From The Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, Molly the Manatee, and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. She has also choreographed for American Girl, Netflix, Lululemon, and Disney.
Megan’s interest in pedagogy extends well beyond the classroom. She is a facilitator of programming, consulting on syllabi, lesson-planning, mission, and overall strategic thinking for children’s dance and theatre programs throughout the country. She is also a highly sought-after teacher. From individual coaching to large scale convention teaching, Megan brings joy, fire, tenacity, and clarity to every class.
As a performer, Megan is proud to have spent 5 years on tour as Anne in The Diary of Anne Frank. He has directed over four hundred main stage and children’s theatre productions including The Laramie Project; next to normal; M Butterfly; Master Class; Doubt; Les Misérables; Ruthless! The Musical; Sweeney Todd; and The Bridges of Madison County, in addition to over one hundred one-act world premieres. His previous work with 92NY includes Messy Millie, Dorothy’s Adventures In Oz, and Alice In Wonderland. Andrew has worked at the Walt Disney World Resort for 8 years and you can find him performing at the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom daily. His most recent original work, Tanabata: A New Musical, debuted at the 2024 Orlando Fringe Festival where it received the award for Best Show. Kenny’s music has been prominently featured worldwide on television (Netflix, Lifetime, Amazon), most notably with five placements on the hit show, Dance Moms. Her theatre work has been produced and/or developed at New York Theatre Workshop, Manhattan Theatre Club, 92NY, Williamstown Theatre Festival, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, The Yale Institute of Music Theatre, The Institute for American Musical Theatre, and Stages Theatre Company. Cristina Pippa is an award-winning playwright and filmmaker. Collaborations with Sharon Kenny include commissioned world premieres for 92NY, such as Ice Queen and Tempest, which was recommended by The New York Times, as well as musical adaptations of Kobi Yamada’s What Do You Do with an Idea? and Maybe and Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin for Stages Theatre Company. Cristina’s musical short film Curtain with songs by Sharon Kenny premiered at New York CineFest this year. Her short film Amelia premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival Kids International Film Festival and won the Golden Gateway Award at the Mumbai Film Festival.
