Welcome to 92NY Camps!

For over 60 years, we’ve offered one of the most transformative and educational summer experiences for active and creative children.

With a 50-acre Rockland County campground furnished with state-of-the-art music, dance, swim and craft facilities, along with interactive multimedia and filmmaking studios and thrill-seeking adventure courses, no one does summer camp like 92NY. Our camp is only 20 minutes outside of New York City, with pickups in Manhattan and north of Manhattan.

Our expertly-designed programs provide endless opportunities for fun, discovery and adventure. Whether your child is learning to dive for the first time in our Red Cross-certified Swim program, soaring through the trees on a zip line or creating ceramics, their needs are cherished and given space to grow.

It’s all about VALUES …

We want our campers to feel safe and secure—both emotionally and physically—so they can thrive in an environment that will help them grow. This means giving them the chance to take safe risks, learn through trial and error, build creatively and develop resilience. Opportunities for staff to promote being Mindful, Compassionate, Courageous, a Leader, and a Mensch are integrated into our programming.

Spending the summer with us means adherence to the following principles:

Kindness—Campers learn empathy and respect for others. They find out what it’s like to make a positive difference in the world.

Individuality—Our camp electives specializations empower children to ask questions and gain a sense of independence to try things at their own pace, think for themselves and gain the confidence to be guided by their own interests and talents.

Motivation—Campers retain their natural curiosity and zest for learning something new.

Creativity—Campers are supported by staff in tackling problems and finding solutions by working them out for themselves.

Resilience—Campers are encouraged to believe in themselves, to respond to failure as an opportunity to learn, to bounce back from disappointment, to approach life with enthusiasm.

Yomi is not your average bear — and Camp Yomi’s not your average day camp!

Meet 92NY Camp Yomi’s Resident Bear

Yomi, what is your one favorite thing about camp?

I love the talent show, ropes course, circus arts, the water slide, LEGO® robotics, photography, cooking with the vegetables from our garden and — oh my, that’s way more than one!

That’s a lot of activities! What else makes it special?

You know, I’m not your average bear — and Camp Yomi’s not your average day camp! You’ll find lots of signature 92Y programs here as well as staff who really know and care about kids — all in a beautiful outdoor setting!

Is there anything new this summer you’d like to talk about?

Yes! We are getting 4 new home bases, bringing back trips for Yomi Seniors and Trailblazers, electives for Yomi and Ilanot Campers and so much more!

How long have you been camp yomi’s mascot?

60 summers! I look the same age as the day I started. (honey is my anti-aging secret. Shhh...) wow, 60 summers!

What advice do you give parents who are looking for a camp?

Ask questions. Then ask more! You have to understand what the camp’s philosophy is — and make sure it lines up with your own. At Camp Yomi, we cherish every child and give every child space to grow.
