Benjamin Grosvenor, piano & Musicians from the New York Philharmonic

Still only in his mid-twenties, British pianist Benjamin Grosvenor is wowing audiences on a global scale. “Electrifying,” “unimaginable brilliance,” hailed The Times, London. Gramophone magazine wrote, “(Grosvenor) may well be the most remarkable pianist of our time.”

92Y is thrilled to welcome Grosvenor back for a second concert this season, following his solo recital in November. This concert will feature him with musicians from the New York Philharmonic on the heels of his being awarded the Philharmonic’s Inaugural Ackman Prize. The program will include two masterworks of the chamber music repertoire: Brahms’s early Quartet in G minor, beloved for its abundant melody, passion, and exuberant gypsy-style finale, and Schubert’s delightful, genial and ever-popular “Trout” Quintet. Don’t miss this terrific young pianist and New York Philharmonic musicians in two chamber music gems.

“Benjamin Grosvenor delivers virtuosity beyond his years. If you haven’t heard him, hear him now.”
