Overview

Join 92NY Spark Your Health for an informative discussion in a group setting with Mahroo Moshari, LCSW.

This workshop is designed to increase the tools available to you for supporting your teens mental well-being. Parents will have an opportunity to explore and share the challenges that they are facing with their children’s recent maladaptive behavior, such as sleep disorder, use of social media, low-self-esteem, depression, and anxiety, as well as lack of effective communication with parents.

Parents will gain insight into their own role as to how to develop positive parenting skills, and how to recognize their children’s symptoms by providing nurturing and harmonious environments while improving effective communication with their children. Topics of discussion may include but are not limited to the rapid growth of child development, effective communication (negative vs positive thinking), parenting styles, signs of teen stress, social media addiction, academic performance, and practical solutions to support improvement in these areas.
