Overview

Develop your artistic skills in life drawing.

Working from a live model with expert instruction from teachers who are professional artists, students learn about proportion, gesture, movement, and perspective. Working in charcoal, graphite, and ink, we move from short poses for sketches to long poses for complete, finished drawings. Whether you want to focus on drawing or are looking to develop your skills as a painter, figure drawing is the classical way to develop skills that will positively impact many aspects of your art practice.

Prerequisite: Drawing for Beginners.

Events in Kaufmann Concert Hall, Weill Art Gallery, Buttenwieser Hall, and Arnhold Studio: Use the 92nd Street entrance. A Box Office agent will assist you.
All other programs: Use the Lexington Avenue entrance at 91st Street (South Building). To reach the North Building, use the 3rd-floor walkway.
