92NY Spark Your Health and Mahroo Moshari, LCSW, host an opportunity for teens to explore and define self-esteem issues, share similar challenges that they experience with daily stressors, while learning practical tips to build upon their confidence.
Teens will gain insight, willpower, and confidence in how to overcome daily stressors through journaling, role-playing, and card games. In a supportive therapeutic manner participants will have an opportunity to develop positive thinking, good habits and improve effective interpersonal communication skills that empower good confidence and increase’ self-esteem.
Topics discussed may include defining self-esteem, causes of low self-esteem, social media addiction, cyberbullying, peer pressure and socialization. Practical solutions to building confidence and resilience will be explored through journal writing and gratitude practice, mindfulness, ppositive affirmations and discussion of good sleeping and eating habits.
